If you are among the 558 alumni considered part of the Class of 1974, you will be admitted by answering the three magic questions and agreeing to the admin rules.
In order to be considered a member of the Class of 1974 one must either:
- graduate with the Class of 1974
- be a member of the Class of 1974 who graduated in 1975
- be a member of the Class of 1974 who graduated in 1973
- be a member of the Class of 1974 who graduated at a different high school but identify as Jeff74
- be a member of the Class of 1974 who dropped out but identify as Jeff74
- be a member of the Class of 1974 who received a GED
- convince the admin why one identifies as Jeff74
The decision to include class members who was not with the 407 graduates in December 1973 and June 1974 was made by the reunion committee members in 1994. The decision was made to rectify the lack of student retention in the 1970s. Students were often encouraged to drop-out of school to relieve overcrowding. Today, RPS 205 retention efforts use alternative education methods to keep every student possible on the path to graduation.
